  The article I am blogging about is named, "Facebook has a gaping loophole in its fight against fake news." The reason why I picked this article is because I learned about fake news in my English class last year. We talked about the issues of being informed about fake news. Two of my English essays were about fake news and the issues of being informed about it.
  This article talks about people posting fake information on Facebook. On Facebook, some people are posting information that is not true. One quote I found was, "Studies have found that a majority of people don't read past the headlines of an article they see online." It means that most people don't read what is written in the article. They just read the title and then they move on.
  To add on, they said, "On top of that, after reading the headline, they'll also share it, a sad but unsurprising fact in the digital age." This quote tells that people are just sharing information that they don't even know about. That makes it hard to trust any news you hear on Facebook or any social media platform.
  In conclusion, This article talks about fake news on Facebook. I really do not like how people are sharing news that they don't even know about.

  For this blog post, I will be writing about Alternative media. Based on the article Top 10 Alternative Media list by Adam Rosszay, one quote says, "Alternative media are forms of media that differ from the current established mainstream, whether it be by content, format, or distribution." This quote says that alternative media is different from mainstream media. Mainstream media is the media that you see on TV like CNN News, BBC News, NBC News, Fox News, Sky News, etc. Many people get the important news from mainstream media.   Another quote from that article says "In today’s society, anyone can have a platform from the comfort of their own homes, a luxury that was not available before the internet and modern technology.   In the class Communications 1450 Media Law and Literacy, I learned about many things. I learned about the first amendment, and how we all have the right to state our own opinions. I also learned about the history about technology and we compared it to how we used it in the olden days with how we use it now. In the olden days, people used different technology than we use now. For example, people used to listen to music through video cassette tapes. Now we stopped listening to cassette tapes and we listen to music through our smartphones and computers.
